Discovery Zone – Learning Academies
To support the development of all our employees Tarmac has provided a number of learning resources. The Discovery Zone is split into five academies:
- Discover Academy – learn about the company, its businesses, products & processes as well as providing tools and techniques to help with self awareness and learning to learn
- Health & Safety Academy – guides you through preparing risk assessments, briefing out a Toolbox Talk, conducting face-to-face conversations, with the opportunity to develop your understanding of different areas of health and safety management
- Commercial Excellence Academy – Access to learning materials, including video guides supporting the Commercial Excellence programme
- Operational Excellence Academy – supports the drive to continuously improve and evolve, giving the opportunity to discover continuous improvement tools, explore manufacturing excellence and find out about operational competence
- Leadership Academy – incorporates three distinct programmes focused in developing our leaders across the business. In addition to the programmes a number of tools are available that are appropriate for all leaders
